This Los Campesinos! playing “Death to Los Campesinos!,” the first track on their first album, Hold On Now, Youngster… Los Campesinos! is a Welsh indie pop band, and I am very fond of them. They have been coming to town semi-regularly, and I keep missing them. It’s very disappointing. I understand from a friend who did see one of their shows here that they put on a great show.
I enjoy how complex these songs are. The layering of lo-fi guitar with sweet strings and vocals, the changes in tone and energy—-there’s a lot going on here. Enjoy their music, and their strange accents.
